The Terre des Hommes Italian foundation, in partnership with the city of Milan, has started the selection process to grant 40 scholarship to migrants as part of the project "Job training scholarships for the social inclusion of young migrants." The project is funded by the bank Banca Intesa San Paolo with the objective of giving foreigners in Italy job training to favor their integration.

 Terre des Hommes explained that the project vies to provide young migrants staying at hosting centers for refugees or asylum seekers, as well as those living on their own in the Milan area, job training organized by the city's council for labor policies.The organization said that participants ''will be supported in finding a job with traineeships at small and medium-sized companies to put into practice what they learned and enter the labor market for the first time''.Participants will receive a maximum of 470 euros for travel expenses and a scholarship of 400 euros a month during their traineeship for a maximum of six months. 

Applications to be filed by February 15

 The courses open to applicants are listed by the councilor's office for labor policies of the city of Milan. They include training for restaurant workers, furniture restorers, electricians, gardeners, ceramic workers and tailors.The program is open to migrants aged 17 to 30, including asylum seekers and those regularly residing in Milan's metropolitan area with a B2-level (or above) knowledge of the Italian language. Terre des Hommes stressed that ''women migrants and migrants supporting a family are strongly invited to apply''.
