Some 100 scholarships are once again this year being made available by Italy for those who have been granted international protection and who had to abandon their studies when forced to leave their countries. The initiative is by the interior ministry and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI).

An initiative will award 100 scholarships for the 2020/2021 academic year to persons who were granted international protection in Italy and who had to abandon their studies when forced to leave their countries.

The program was launched in 2016 as a result of a memorandum of understanding signed between the Italian interior ministry and Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), in collaboration with a national association for the right to university studies, ANDISU. The total amount of funding allocated by the ministry is 525,700 euros.
