The Italian "Instruction Manual for Integration" has been updated. It contains answers 250 questions frequently asked by migrants about things such as stay permits and work in Italy. The goal: To provide support on the path to integration and inclusion.

The "Instruction Manual for Integration", a document published for more than ten years by the Italian Labour Ministry, was recently updated.

The manual is geared towards foreigners who are living in Italy or are planning to move to Italy.

Info on stay permits, healthcare, banking

In a statement published on the Italian government's website on migrant integration, the manual is described as "providing useful information to support foreign citizens in their path to social and work inclusion and in questions tied to daily life, such as how to find a dignified job, how to establish an employment relationship, how to apply for a visa or a stay permit, how to sign up for the national health system, and how to open a bank account."

"The understanding of rights and responsibilities is fundamental for the integration of foreign citizens and workers," the managers of the project said.

The manual is structured in a question-and-answer format and contains 250 of the most frequently asked questions.

The document, published in Italian, can be downloaded here.
